Sierra Club Quiz: How Green is my Getaway?

The Sierra Club, one of the several environmental and wildlife organizations to which I am a proud member, has posted a series of quizzes entitled How Green is my _____? I just took the How Green is my Getaway quiz. What I like about the quizzes is that they're entertainingly phrased. Like this question: "Does it really matter whether I take a plane or train or drive? That plane's going to fly even if I'm not on it."

Also, some people just don't like taking quizzes, but they want the educational meat. For them, you can always jump to the answers. Here's the answer list (complete with educational explanations, of course) for the getaway quiz.

Comment and post your quiz results! My getaway quiz results: 90%. I have to say, though, that I mostly made educated guesses on these. Try for yourself and tell me how you did!

If you're lazy and want all the quizzes in one shot, here they are:

Angry Alien

It turns out the alien's not so angry at all. He's rather funny. And he likes using bunnies in 30-second cartoon re-enactments of famous movies. If you haven't checked him out (or if you haven't seen the new movies), get thee to Angry Alien and watch the movies you've been missing.

(To all the people who have let me know about Angry Alien over the past year or two, yes, I've known about them for a looooooong time now, but just haven't posted about them. I have no idea why. Angry Alien's a source of wonderment and fun. Don't miss The Shining, which is one of my all-time faves.)

NOTE: Some of the short movies are more graphic -- it IS a cartoon, after all -- than the original movies, so be careful letting the kids watch.

An Engineer's Guide to Cats

I'm not that huge a fan of cats (if pressed to choose between dogs and cats, I'll always pick dogs; unless we're talking about male orange cats, in which case, I'm so there), but this vid is too funny not to post. Thanks, Cute Overload, for posting it first. If you've ever known an engineer or are one, it's even funnier.

World famous in Poland

I forget where that phrase came from (someone comment and tell me!), but it's how I feel lately. Paul's started using BunnyBlab as an example of small market success stories in this talks on social media, so the word is getting out.

Now, if you're not necessarily a house rabbit person or that into pets or animals, BunnyBlab may confuse you. Why would anyone dedicate any time at all to this stuff? Simple answer -- there's an audience and I like it. (So there! =:-3) More than an audience, actually -- a community. And building the community is what I'm all about.

At any rate, when people blog about Paul's talk they sometimes blog about the BunnyBlab example. And I think that's just cool.

Life Expectancy Calculator

How long will you live? Find out with this fun tool. (Thanks, MarthaStewart.com for pointing me to it!)

I have to say, I answered everything perfectly honestly and my result was 99. Wonder what they would have said if I would have answered that I work out 3-5 times a week (I don't, so I didn't lie)!

Take the quiz and let me know what your expectancy is! (Comment and tell me!)
